SI Madurai News is the first edition for year 2018-19. Our projects done from the month of April 2018 to August 2018. Soroptimistinternational is a global women’s organization. Soroptimist inspire action to transform the lives of women and girls around the world. Soroptimists are women who use the special expertise and management skills developed in their working life to advance the status of women and to try to make the world a better place. Membership offers the opportunity to work with like-minded women throughout the world for human rights for all, equality, development and peace

As President of the year 2016-2017,I have indeed gained a lot of knowledge
about the systems and projects of SI.Achieving my target on my projects were
not a task as I had the whole club helping me and supporting me, one way or
another.We together have done 25 projects in 12 months of my tenure.I am
truly gifted to have gained the confidence of members and delivered what I had
set out to achieve.We all come together to not only give back to society what we
have received from it, but also to let our hair down and have fun.Let us not
forget that Sisterhood takes top priority.Therefore ,laughter, talking, cracking
jokes and being yourself with our group should be the way to go.!!

In a world filled with strife and chaos, it is the need of the hour to bring on the smiles on our faces and cheer in ourhearts. Not money, not hard work. Just a kind word, a helping hand, a pat on the back, a warm hug, giving a few minutes of our time to connect with the other is all that is needed. Every Soroptimist is a warm hearted person reaching out to help our brethren. Our organization provides the supporting structure to do this on a global scale and bring about the desired change for the betterment of women and the world at large, through a collective effort.
